Trail Mama

With extensive experience backpacking on both local and distant trails, I proudly earned the trail name “Trail Mama” several years ago, a title that reflects my commitment to caring for everyone on the trail. Inspired by my love for sharing the transformative power of hiking, I founded Trail Mama Hikes. My deep knowledge comes from thoroughly exploring the 70-mile Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, having hiked each mile countless times. Beyond that, I completed a thru-hike of the 2,197-mile Appalachian Trail in 98 days and have conquered trails like the Tuscarora Trail, the West Rim Trail, the Stepping Stone Trail, and the Loyalsock Trail, to name a few. Over the years, I’ve introduced many to the wonders of hiking and backpacking, always with a patient and supportive approach to ensure even first-timers feel comfortable and confident. I also hold certifications in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and NOLS Wilderness First Aid.
